During my recent stay at the Rose, I found the culinary offerings to be quite thought-provoking. The ambiance in the dining room struck a balance between casual and refined, ideal for savoring innovative dishes. I was delighted to begin my meal with a prawn starter, perfectly executed and fresh. The main course of slow-cooked belly pork, though flavorful, was let down by a side of bland mash and vegetables that lacked seasoning. While enjoying my meal, I couldn't help but notice the attentive staff, who endeavored to enhance our experience amid some minor setbacks-namely, empty salt and pepper pits on our table. After dinner, I appreciated the ease of finding further dining options, which offer a rich tapestry of flavors to experience. The Rose has the potential to be a remarkable destination for food enthusiasts, provided that every dish is crafted with the same care and precision as the standout starters.
